What we do

Imoss Tech Repair specialises in micro-soldering which significantly reduces electronic waste, saves your device and helps you save money. With a well-equipped workshop, we will get your device up and running again soon.

Laptop computers, mobile phones, chargers, games consoles, hard drives, memory cards and bluetooth and wifi speakers.

Components we service and repair

Buttons, charging ports, batteries, GPUs, HDMI ports, motherboards, screens, USB ports and more.

Other services

We can help with charging problems, data recovery, diagnostic service and fault finding, liquid damage repair, microsoldering and trace repair.

Devices we do not service or repair

We do not service or repair digital cameras, televisions or whitegoods.

Repair process

Devices must be inspected before we can provide a repair estimate. Potential issues can vary from broken connectors to hidden water damage. Small amounts of moisture can cause corrosion, even if the device has never been near water. There is only a 50/50 chance of successfully repairing non-functioning items.

1. Tell us the model number

Providing a model number helps us identify your specific device, its components and potential problems.

2. Send us photographs

Clear images of the device, especially focusing on the areas needing repair, will aid in our assessment.

3. Tell us about prior repair work

Has the device been serviced by another technician? Understanding any prior repairs is crucial, as it can be challenging to address issues resulting from previous work.

4. Drop off or send your device

Drop off your device at our workshop north of Brisbane. Otherwise, you can send it to us via post or courier at your own cost.

5. $60 up-front inspection fee

A $60 fee is charged before we inspect the device. The inspection fee will be credited toward the final repair cost. We accept payment via Mastercard or Visa.

6. We will get to work

After inspection, if we determine your device can be fixed, we will give you a repair estimate. With your approval, we will repair your device.

Unpaid repairs

We will notify you when your device is ready for collection. If payment is not received within three months of notification, successfully repaired devices will be sold to recoup repair costs.

Unrepairable devices

We may determine that a device is not repairable. Should this occur, we will notify you. Devices not collected within three months of notification will be treated as e-waste and recycled.
